Samantha is no stranger to the restaurant industry. She began her journey as a hostess at Gertrude’s Restaurant while attending FIT in Manhattan. After only 2 months she was offered the position of special events coordinator and assistant to the owners and chef.  While under the watch of the executive chef Laurent Manrique, she learned the trade first hand. She realized this was the industry for her and started working full time.

Samantha was then offered the position of catering manager at The Time Hotel and Palladin Restaurant (Jean Louis Palladin), where she was part of the restaurant opening team. 

From there, she was offered an opportunity to be part of the opening of a new nightclub and restaurant, Centro-fly. Under experienced owner Tom Sisk. At Centro-Fly Samantha gained experience producing events on a much bigger scale. One of Samantha’s major accomplishments was getting the VH1 fashion awards party for Vogue magazine and Gloss.com for 1500 guests

After a year and a half a new opportunity came along. Samantha was approached by two big entities; The W Hotel, owned by Starwood, (one of the biggest hotel chains), and Olives Restaurant, a Todd English venture. Samantha became the catering manager of Olives for the next three years, followed by an offer to manager both the W union Square and Olives. She decided to follow her dream to bring something wonderful to Westchester called mix it up.
